Furnace Fabrica had always felt the need for its own fabrication facility in order to meet strict quality standards and time constraints. With this in view FFIL established a state-of-the-art workshop in 1994 adjoining the EPC center. The workshop has all the facilites expected of a modern and capable fabrication unit. Due to extreme demand in recent years, FFIL has also setup a new drilling facility near Navi-Mumbai.

Today, the workshop serves the project requirements of FFIL helping us to lower our cost while maintaining quality of work. In addition to its captive utilization, the workshop serves all kinds of process industries in India and abroad satisfying the exacting requirements and demands of the industry.

The workshop has established an internationally accepted Quality control system (ISO 9001:2000) verified by DNV of Netherlands.

The workshop has also been approved by:

• Chief Controller of Explosives, for fabrication of unfired pressure vessels as per code of practice under purview of SMP (U) Rules.
• Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) Act for Boilers and associated High Pressure Equipments and Piping.

The shop has facilities to design and fabricate various types of Pressure vessels, Columns, Heat-Exchangers, Reactors, Cooler-Bundles, ESP casings, Tanks and Bins among others. To fabricate such equipments, the shop maintains skilled workmen who are certified by various third party inspection agencies and consultants.
